Oreo Cookies Recipe

These cookies are a classic favorite and are perfect for any occasion. They are rich, chocolatey and have a creamy filling that is irresistible. They are perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a snack. They are also great to give as gifts.Making these cookies is so much fun too, it's a great recipe to make with kids, they will love to help you make the dough and sandwich the cookies together. And the best part is that they're so easy to make, you don't need any fancy equipment or ingredients, just a mixing bowl, a baking sheet and a grater. Trust me, once you try these cookies you'll never want to go back to store-bought cookies again. They are perfect for snacking, for breakfast or even for a party, everyone will love them.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cups unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cups crushed Oreo cookies about 24 cookies)
- 1/2 cups white chocolate chips optional
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract together until well combined.
- Stir in the crushed Oreo cookies and white chocolate chips if using.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to form the dough into 24 balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the cookies are cooling, make the filling by mixing together the butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Once the cookies have cooled, spread the filling on the bottom of half of the cookies and top with the remaining cookies to make sandwiches.
