Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unswetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or in a double boiler until completely melted.
  • Add the sugar to the melted butter and whisk until well combined.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, whisking until just combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to smooth out the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
